Okay, let's face it: this trip could be summed up with "shopping, shopping, shopping, a little fangirling, shopping and shopping." But you guys asked for it, so here it is.

Saving money on overseas shipping by spending $2,000 for hotel stay and plane ticket? Sounds like a plan to me! )

I was just about to post last night that I'd made it home safely when my wireless connection decided to quit on me. It's still refusing to connect, so I'm using my parents' computer. (I hope you haven't been too worried about me, Mother of Mine.)

It was an amazingly wonderful trip, despite the various illnesses that attacked our group. I spent ludicrous amounts of money, but am currently in manga heaven. Pictures and a proper report to come sometime in between reading and shipping out presents/shopping requests the next couple of days.

I barely slept last night, possibly thanks to the fact that I slept almost the entire flight home (Zicam nighttime cold medicine = best sleeping aid EVER), all night that night, and most of the day yesterday. (Have I not learned my lesson about jet lag and six hour "naps"?) Today I'm struggling to stay awake, but determined to not become completely nocturnal, so I refuse to nap.

While I was gone:

1. My parents got a new refrigerator (and dishwasher), which is great, we needed it. Unfortunately, the newly attached pipe decided to leak water all over my room. Fortunately, it only got my bed, not any of my books. (When you live in the basement, you learn to protect your things from random floods, which are regrettably frequent.) My room is a mess, though, since a bunch of my stuff got moved around in the cleaning and drying process, not to mention the manga explosion from my suitcases. (Side note: after putting all my suitcases in our car, my dad was like, "What is this, 200 pounds of books!?" Yes. Yes, it is.)

2. My brother and his girlfriend got married (laughably, several days before I was telling my former coworkers that he was probably never going to get married).

3. My cats apparently missed me and, since I came back, are all over me whenever I sit down.
