Apollo Justice (again)
Having finished the end: I LOVED the last case. What I liked best about the third game (I mean, aside from the one part that was the awesomest awesome that ever awesomed) was how the story spanned the whole game, tying together the past and present. And AJ did that, only it was like, even more EPIC than T&T was. Also, playing as Phoenix again was so much fun (though I missed Maya ;_;), and I really liked the Mason System and how it let you jump from past to present. But, in a way, playing as Phoenix made me a little sad, because I think that, since Phoenix's last case (*sniffle*) has been solved, it's most likely that the next game will involve him even less, and I don't like Apollo any better now than I did earlier. I don't dislike him, exactly, but...he just doesn't do anything for me. The worst part about Apollo is this crazy influx of Phoenix/Apollo fans. *brandishes sword; fights for OTP to the death* During the end credits, Phoenix says he might take the bar exam again, and I admit I squeed a little when he said that, but I don't know if the writers will actually go through with it. :/
As far as ships go...I felt nothing during this game. Nothing. I mean, Klavier flirts with, like, anything that moves, and there were a couple suggestive lines, but that was about it. (I'm willing to bet that I'll still find some Klavier/Ema fic that I'll like, though.) I liked a lot of the characters (Trucy = SO ADORABLE, especially when she was a little baby girl in the flashbacks), I just didn't feel any love.
Oh, and the "perceive" thing...still retarded. (Not to mention a big fat pain. I spent forever trying to find the right thing to focus on sometimes. >.< ) And why couldn't Apollo do it earlier in his life, especially since he had the bracelet? (I'm glad there was a reason for the bracelet. Even a stupid reason is better than no reason. Sometimes.) I guess you could speculate that Trucy was taught a little about it by her parents...though Phoenix didn't know anything about it, so they can't have told her much. I hope we find out more about how Apollo ended up raised by some random people in the next game(s?), I mean, why the heck did Thalassa give him up? Also, I read somewhere that the creators have said we've met Aopollo's dad in the game (this game? an earlier game?), which made me go back through the character list...whoever he is, I think he must be dead. For a little while I thought it was going to turn out to be Kristoph (oh, that would have been SO funny XD ), but I think he's a little too young.
Speaking of parents...what's up with Zak, judging everyone by how they play poker, and then trying to cheat with Phoenix? LAME.
And, also speaking of parents, it was kind of funny that Trucy called Phoenix "Daddy" when he was wearing a hat that said "Papa" on it.
After I finished the game, I pulled out the spoileriffic doujinshi I accidentally bought (Trucy was on the cover, but I didn't recognizer her; I thought she was Pearl) to finally read. In it, Phoenix tells Miles that it doesn't matter so much that he was disbarred, since he became a lawyer to find Miles, and he'd already done that. It made me fell less sad about Phoenix being disbarred.
I'm happy that I don't have to worry about spoilers anymore, but I'm sad that now I have to wait for the fifth game. T_T I guess I'll just have to drown myself in fanfic until it comes out.
