I did think the crossover was a cute idea, but honestly by that time I was so bored I was pretty much just skimming. I really should stop buying this series, even if I do enjoy the funny bits. (The dads being on their own onsen trip, for instance, made me laugh.)

It doesn't say specifically, but the last narration box says that Isaka doubted Asahina's explanation that it the shop clerk suggested the pink roses, so I think that makes more sense.
