This makes me a sad panda squirrel, but based on the translated line, I guess I would say yes. So then, when Kaede boasts that he CAN say Rintarou without "kun," in the translation he just says "Rin"? (But then, what about when he's supposed to say "or maybe...'Rin'"? Do they throw a Rinta in there somewhere or something?)
