to file under "seemed like a good idea at the time"

This weekend I started my closet organization project. My parents are out of town, so I figured nobody was around to be annoyed by a big mess, so it would be easier if I basically pulled everything out of the closet to reorganize it all.

So this is my life right now:

total mess 2

total mess

Things I need to do:

1. Get out all manga (this part is done, at least), so I can sort through what I want to keep or get rid of, and make sure everything is in my database. (Some things were already in the closet when I started my database.)
2. Actually get rid of things I don't want to keep
3. Sort VHS tapes to see which should be ripped to digital files and which should be tossed
4. Organize magazines into plastic containers which previously held VHS tapes
5. Sort through English books
6. Sort through other miscellaneous things
7. Go through bookshelves and box up some things to make room for future manga purchases

I need to work on 3-6 first, because those are the things that are not in my bedroom. I don't think my dad would appreciate coming home to a huge mess in his TV room.

I had hoped to recycle my VHS tapes via Green Disk, but now that I see how many I have, I'm not sure it's economically feasible for me. $10/box + shipping (which won't be cheap) for who knows how many boxes...I just don't see this happening. :/

I'm also having huge indecision when it comes to what manga I should get rid of. Am I ever going to read Hot Gimmick again? Akachan to Boku? Ayashi no Ceres?

Manga is hard. :(

Anybody out there need the Motto! Koori artbook? I seem to have two copies and I hate to throw one away. Maybe I should rip out pages and put them on my wall or something...
