Obama's victory speech last night made me so ridiculously happy. YES, a president who does not make me want to crawl under a rock and/or cover my ears and go I DID NOT VOTE FOR THIS MAN LA LA LA I CAN'T HEAR YOU.


...But this morning, still no result on Prop 8??? God, California, if you can't stop this shit, I just don't even know anymore.

I am not one to typically be moved by political speeches, but I have to credit Obama for a very moving speech. It actually made me feel like I was watching history happen, which I had not felt much at all prior, despite the obviousness of it all. And it made me proud of our country... which is pretty rare for me.

There's a cruel irony that the same election that raises a black man to the white house will take away the civil rights of a different oppressed minority.
