That's a pretty good barometer
Yesterday morning, when I got up, Mom said to me, "It's officially winter: Choco snuggled under the covers with me all night."
...and then it snowed 12 inches.
The nice thing about Choco snuggling with you in bed is that she will curl up against your leg and pretty much not move all night. (Unless, of course, you make the mistake of moving your leg, in which case she will move up against you, and pretty soon you'll end up trapped between a lump of cat and the edge of the bed.) Wednesday, on the other hand, rolls around and squirms and stretches out, and sometimes you end up with little kitty feet poking into your chest, and sometimes you end up with a big pile of kitty sleeping right on your chest. Which is all very cute, but not exactly the most comfortable way to sleep. I'm not really sure what happened with her; she always (well, except when she was a tiny tiny kitten and slept on my neck) used to sleep at the foot of my bed. Somehow, when I came back from Japan, she started sleeping either on or next to my chest. Plus she likes to use my wrist as a pillow, which is also adorable but uncomfortable.
Speaking of winter, to combat our eternally cold office, I got myself one of these, and it is the best thing ever.

I use it as a lap blanket, but either way it's toasty warm and perfect for days like today. :)

My sympathies on the snow. I used to live in Rochester, NY, the land of lake-effect snow (it kind of amuses me now that I'm entirely blocking the name of the lake it's on... it was one of those Great Lakes, I think...). I swore I'd never again live in a place where snow on Halloween is normal.

sexlove. There's also priority seat love...okay, I have too many icons with ridiculous things in love. (And I never did upload those apples...)That's Ontario, right? And yeah, I remember when I was a kid and it would snow on Halloween. It doesn't so much do that anymore (global warming, yay!).

Yes, them. (hugs the chameleons)
And wow, you're good. Lake Ontario didn't even sound familiar to me, but I googled it and you're right. (Obviously, I spent my two years in Rochester as far away from the VERY COLD lakeshore as possible.)

Yeah, when my dad heard about the USB blanket, he decided to get them for the ladies in his office. It's really great (though I do wish it was slightly bigger).

(My icon is actually Tanabata, but for ages I thought they were sitting under a Christmas tree, so I use it at Xmas.)
