I love three-day weekends!

Finally got Eclipse from the library. So far: Edward continues to be creepy overprotective, Bella continues to be...Bella. Mostly, though, my reaction is NEED TO HURRY UP AND FINISH THIS SO I CAN READ BREAKING DAWN ALREADY.

So, I went to Alltel on Friday to see about getting a new phone. At first it seemed like I would have to ditch my old number and re-pay the activation fee and everything, but it turns out that I can buy a phone (including the same model as my old phone, which they don't make anymore) on ebay or whatever and skip all the activation nonsense. I don't understand how this works, but cheaper AND more convenient? Sounds good to me! I've been dragging my feet a little because the phone still costs a little more than what I want to spend (I wish I could find one that's really cheap because it doesn't come with the charger, because I don't need a charger), but it's still better than having to get it through Alltel. And I do really need to get one, because I hate driving around in the snow and ice without one. (I've been borrowing my mom's phone, which only works as long as she doesn't need to go anywhere.)

I may not end up getting an iPhone right after I pay off my credit card, though. Maybe I'll wait for the Christmas season and see if they come out with a new version or something.

In other news, I am mostly sticking to my fitness goals for the year. (I have had some slip-ups, like when I was cleaning my room and found the Christmas candy...) I've lost ~2lbs so far, which is slow, but better than nothing. I'd been feeling a little burned out on Wii Fit, so I picked up this Jillian Michaels game, which, as far as games go, is kind of crap, with crap graphics and a pretty sluggish controller response, but once you get the hang of it, it gives you a really good workout (I've been SO sore since I started using it), so I give it a thumbs up. It's definitely more aerobic than Wii Fit, which I think I really needed.

ONE HOUR UNTIL OBAMA IS PRESIDENT. EEEEE! \o/

20 questions. Minus 18.

Did your gym membership end or do you just find the wii more convenient? (I like convenient. Convenient is good.)

Have you found your old model for sale anywhere?

I canceled my gym membership because it seemed silly to pay when there are facilities here at the school that I can use for free. However, I have yet to use said facilities, so possibly keeping the gym membership wouldn't have been so silly. If I can keep myself motivated, I do think that a variety of aerobic games and/or videos will work out better for me than endless hours on the elliptical machine, though.

I ordered my new phone last night, and it was shipped today. (From Michigan, so hopefully it won't take long to get here.) It claims to be pink, which I hope means it has a special pink cover, and not just a faded red cover. The place I bought it from also advertised a 15 day return policy, so if there's some problem getting the phone activated, I won't be out 80 bucks.

Yesterday, I was listening to NPR on the way home from work, and they said something about "the president," and I was like, "meh, Bush," and then I realized that they meant Obama, and it made me so happy! I actually like our president!!

Yes, it's going to take a while to sink in.

But I'm really floating--very, very hopeful.
