This is like one of those "If a train leaves Chicago, traveling at 60 mph" math problems. Only it's two packages leaving Japan, one from Narita, one from Osaka. The one from Narita is on the delivery truck on its way to my house. The other one...decided to hang out in Hong Kong for a while...?

Some things I really wanted were backordered (Shizuku, Hanabira, Ringo no Kaori 2, I am looking at YOU), including a couple things I wanted to check out from KBLY '11, but it was a lot of fun, putting together a last-minute order of ONLY things that were in stock and watching it ship out right away. I have to be so very, very patient with most of my orders (which I sometimes place a month ahead of time) that I forget the thrills of instant gratification.

My latest amazon.jp order also mysteriously took a day trip to Hong Kong, and then went back to Japan before shipping to the US. I too was baffled, not to mention vexed with J-amazon for switching to DHL when Fedex has performed so reliably. -_-;

Oh, great. I guess I won't be seeing that box until next week. (At least it was the smaller part of the order...)

I was annoyed when they switched back to DHL, too, though I started shopping at Mangaoh right after that. Mangaoh is not without its own annoyances, but I find it a lot less irritating than Amazon.

I keep pressing the help link, but nothing happens.

Also, I know only one author in this order. My manga tastes are so 2001.

Well, three of the authors are new to me, too. The others I think you would recognize from some of their other works, like Seven Days and the donut one (http://wednesday-10-00.livejournal.com/158354.html). And I know

spacealien_vamp has reviewed Fujitani Youko stuff, even if I've been a slacker about it.

I read the description for this one, but I didn't order it. (I think I was put off by the fact that the character's name seems to mysteriously change from 真昼　to 正午 in the summary.) You'll have to let me know what you think.

花のみぞ知る 1 - 宝井理人 / Hana no Mizo Shiru

I think that's Hana-nomi zo Shiru, a play on the phrase 神のみぞ知る ("only God knows").

That's another one I looked at and decided not to get. I expect a full report.

To be honest, I don't usually read cover copy; I just go by reviews, and this one totally won me over:

「くっついた後の話を長く書いたのはこの漫画が初めてで、途方に暮れた記憶があります」
このようにあとがきで語られてますが、もっともっと読みたかったです。
　
小説雑誌に掲載されていた読みきりの連載で１冊まるまる表題作です。
年上専門だったまひるさん(受)と彼にヒトメボレした年下わんこくん(攻)のお話。
最初の１話でくっつき、以降は全部くっついた後のお話になってます。
今回眼鏡は出てきませんが「地下鉄の犬」や「夢見る星座」が好きな人ならきっとハマるのではないでしょうか。
表紙に２人のほっこりした関係性といいますか、雰囲気がすごく表れていると思うので
気になる方はジャケ買いして間違いないと思います。
　
主役はもちろん、両親や上司をはじめとする周辺人物もひとりひとり味があってすごくいいです。
多くのセリフがなくてもそれぞれの人となりや関わり方がちゃんと伝わってくるので素晴しい。

ETA: Sorry, let's get rid of those italics. Japanese in italics is just annoying.
