Japan shopping list
OK....I think I have my Japan shopping list pretty much done. No doubt I will be adding things here and there, but here it is: more or less final version
Google docs seems to eat the sheet titles, so:
sheet 1: manga (tier 1)
sheet 2: manga (tier 2)
sheet 3: novels
sheet 4: misc.
Originally, "tier 1" contained manga I definitely wanted to get, and "tier 2" was stuff I figured I would get only if I had room in my luggage/shipping container/whatever. But after a while I started...I don't know, feeling sorry for the tier 2 manga? So I moved basically everything to tier 1 except those that I'm not really planning on getting. (I still might get some of them, you never know, but the plan is to skip them. And don't ask the point in taking a list of things I'm NOT planning to buy--it makes sense in my head, OK?)
The yellow rows designate manga that I researched and decided I wanted to buy (and would forget about otherwise). It's not a true "must buy" category in that there's lots of stuff I do not want to leave without, but I don't think it's likely I'll somehow forget about them. (Series books, for instance, and titles by authors who are automatic buys for me--none of those are yellow.) For novels, yellow designates series books I don't want to get lost in the shuffle (because I have such a huge novel backlog right now that pretty much all the other novels are the same level of "maybe"). Sheet 4 is pretty unorganized and mostly just notes to myself.
I am...pretty sure my suitcases are already crying in anticipation of the abuse I'm about to put them through.

I am relieved special Love Mode 6 is not on the list. I pictured blood in the aisles for stuff on all three lists.

What?? But the sequel just came out! Ugh, Gush is the worst sometimes. Well, hopefully it's recent enough that no one will have trouble finding it. There are a LOT of bookstores in Tokyo. XD (PS Two of them need to have Will, ugh.)

Ah well, let's hope for the best. (If you have actually READ the whole series, you deserve to have it first, as I cannot claim the same.)

I might have the Umetaro volumes, if you want them for price of shipping. I'd have to check my stash.
I definitely have most of the Fujisaki Kou volumes sitting around. I was going to do them with the group but another team listed them out and then I took this job. :P

Playboy Amour
Crazy for You
Virgin Love
Beautiful Beast
Happy Yarou Wedding
There's a ton more. I should make a list and let you and Sara pick from what you want from the Japanese language stuff. I'll try to dig in more later this week.

Thank you for sharing! I will study and peruse (though, god knows I don't need to be making any additions, and I too would probably be better off just waiting for room-pimping).

I have a list of "sold" books in Delicious Library, because I don't want to end up buying them again. (Sad enough when that happens on purpose, but doing it on accident is the worst.)
I'm afraid of room-pimping this year. My list is so long already. :(

What can you tell me about 萌え男子がたり? I've just added the first to my shopping list, because it lists Yoneda "I will give her both my kidneys if she will return to manga" Kou and Nakamura Asumiko among the contributors. But the "look inside this book" feature on Amazon for volume 2 looks very texty-mono.
Also, for why are you collecting those specific volumes of Honey? (Mostly curious, not competitive.)

(At one point I think I edited a collection of icons from the illustrations, but never got around to posting them. I should do that.
Edit: the icons are in here (http://pics.livejournal.com/wednesday_10_00/gallery/0000btbc?page=5&.view=grid), if you want to get an idea of what the illustrations are like. [Vaguely nsfw warning.] I think I never posted them because I was unhappy with how some of them came out and wanted to recrop them before I posted, and obviously never got around to it.)
re: Honey - I'm just going by collections that sound interesting to me. Well, except for 2, which I just want because I think the cover illustration is hilarious. The other two are "ugly collection" and "dad collection." Looking at the newer issues, I may check out 9, also, but I'm not sure if it's going to be a collection of m-preg or newborn babies or what. (And the really sad thing is, I'm not sure which I want it to be...)

GAH! Texty-mono. Do I love Yoneda Kou enough to want to look at her kanji?

Funny, it's the exact opposite for me. Well, I guess collecting by theme is only dangerous for me if I start looking at ALL anthologies, which I don't really do. It's just that since I get B-boy (the magazine) I see the ads for Honey, and that makes me want to buy it. Only a lot of the themes are pretty distasteful to me, so I've moved beyond blindly collecting the whole run and now will only get the themes I like. Unless there's a story I like in one of those issues, in which case I'll be in trouble again.
...OK, anthologies are just dangerous in general.

If you want, you can look at my volume 2 there, and see if you think it's worth getting?
