I'm pretty sure nobody has ever been as excited about an exchange rate as I am right now. I might explode if it actually makes it to 100. Please, please, never let it drop back down to 75 again. (From now on, we'll refer to that period as "the dark days" and speak of it only in hushed voices.)

Nope. Not just because I spent all of yesterday watching the total soar but also because the first season of VM was great TV. Oh, wait, did you mean rewatch? Never mind, then. But if you haven't watched it, do. Smoldering. Super-awesome dad. Snark.

You were right the first time: I haven't seen VM. Sadly, it's not on Netflix streaming, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do about my sudden desire to watch the show. Maybe I need to start my disc subscription back up again. :/

It WAS strangely compelling, wasn't it? When I was checking the exchange rate earlier, I half expected the number to tick up as I watched.

The WB website has the first two seasons available for streaming. (Not as convenient as Netflix, I know.) If you watch and feel the urge to send enthusiastic emails, you know where to find me. (This isn't pressure to watch. Watch only when/if you want to.)

LOL, I bet Japan itself is almost as excited as you are. About a year or so ago, Japan was like, "um, let's deflate our currency" and the world was like "we're scared, so NO" and it just got worse. Glad to see it's inching up to 100. (With prices as they are, I don't even think I'll mind $20 shipping!)

I have a widget on my work computer that always shows the yen-dollar exchange rate. I smile every time I look at it now, though I can't help but remember the good ole days of complaining when the yen went under 110 to the dollar...

Yep, I totally remember that. It would be awesome if we could make it back up to those 120-130 levels, but I'm not greedy; 100 is just fine after being stuck in the 70s for what seemed like forever.

The exchange rate is driving me bonkers with all the up and down. I'm on the Euro so 125 is like a gift and then it drops down to 118 and goes up to 125 again only to go down to 122 and now raise slowly to 123... It's all better than the all time low of, I think, 97, but when I think back to the high of 170... oh, I still dream of that.
