I spent the better part of this weekend reading Beck. Turns out the reason I couldn't find volumes 6-15 in any stores for so long was that they were running a new batch with "Anime starting on October 6!" obi. (Wow, they're really on top of things.) Finally did get it though, yay. Also started my doujinshi project, which turned out to be more work than I thought (of course). While scanning, I watched Old Girly Cartoons, namely Sailormoon (catching up on the new R DVD release) and...Jem. Jem and the Holograms.

truly outrageous )

I stopped at the bookstore today to pick up the new Flesh&Blood novel. The pictures look especially yummy. All of them. Unless the pictures are one big tease, the relationship looks to be the focus of this book. (But Nigel! If the author doesn't give Nigel a new love interest soon, I'm going to cry.) I had planned on saving it for the plane ride home, but I'm not sure I'll be able to resist for that long. (In fact, I think I'm going to start reading right after I finish this post.) Maybe I'll have better luck with the new City of Glass? (Yeah, yeah, go ahead and laugh.) Also, some people (you know who you are) will be happy to hear that I'm not planning to take/send my Flesh&Blood books home in case I decide to do summaries. (Just in case, mind.)

(I'm definitely over my parentheses quota on this post. Time to quit while I'm ahead, I think.)
