Comiket Day Two: The Hottening
Aug. 15th, 2009 04:48 pmAs we prepared to enter the final hallway into the East Hall today, I heard the following conversation behind me:
Guy 1: Oh, crap.
Guy 2: What?
Guy 1: It's the final torture.
He wasn't kidding. It was unbelievably hot and crowded and the line barely crawled forward--and this is in comparison to the painfully hot and crowded line we'd been in for the last two and a half hours. I suppose, technically, the final torture was the train ride home, but at least that was air-conditioned. This is far from my first Comiket, but I seriously can't believe how crowded it was today. If tomorrow is this bad, I may throw myself into Tokyo Bay before I even buy anything.
ETA - ( see the line of doom )
Tomorrow is the day of the 8 million BL authors--we have some serious strategizing to do tonight.
