re: latest fujimi novel
Jan. 1st, 2012 05:53 pmFrom page 113:
「よろしくお願いします」というステージ・マネージャーのQで送り出されて、僕が先に、吉柳さんは僕に続いてステージに踏み出した。
I had to read this like five times before I got what "Q" meant. ("Question? Why would there be a question? Oh, cue. The stage manager gave them a CUE.") Why does it sometimes seem like English loanwords are the hardest part of Japanese? I'm always having to sound out new words in my head, and at least half the time I don't know if it is what I think it is. orz
Also, they get wedding rings in this book. Which is cute, except...they already HAD wedding rings. I guess this is what happens when you write a series for like 20 years. (Doesn't Akizuki Koh ever look at the pictures? Because...they're wearing rings all the time.)
Also also, according to the obi, they're making a live action movie of the first book. (Or first story. Can't really tell, since they both have the same title.) Either way...do not want, on so many levels. :/ If they're going to make a movie (which...I don't really want a live action movie anyway), can't they at least skip ahead to a happier part of the story?
In other news: happy 2012! I welcome our new dragon overlords even if they're not as cute as bunnies.
