Fulfill Civic Duty: check
Nov. 4th, 2008 08:46 amI went in to vote first thing after the polls opened this morning (got there at about five after seven). It only took about a half hour; there are definitely benefits to living in a small town. (The line was way shorter when I left, too.) I feel lucky to work at a place where they make it clear that voting is more important than getting to work on time, because I was not looking forward to lines this afternoon.
P.S. Heard on NPR yesterday, from an Obama rally: Rosa Parks sat so Martin Luther King could walk. Martin Luther King walked so Obama could run. Obama's running so we all can fly.
